IF YOU MISSED ONE OF THE SESSIONS BELOW, YOUR SON OR DAUGHTER WILL STILL BE PLACED ON A TEAM.  THE ASSESSMENT INFORMATION IS USED BY COACHES DURING THE DRAFT PROCESS FOR THOSE WHO WERE ABLE TO ATTEND.

REGULAR NJB LEAGUE SKILL ASSESSMENT INFORMATION

Boys & Girls who register to participate in one of the Regular NJB League's Divisions 1, 2, and 3, and have not been assigned a team are required to attend the mandatory skill assessment. At the skill assessment, each player will be checked-in, assigned a number based on the Regular NJB League division they will participate in, which is dependent on the current grade they are enrolled in during the fall of 2009. The player’s dribbling, lay-up, and shooting skills are evaluated and documented.  This information is compiled to generate a report that will be referenced by coaches during the draft procedure. In order to maintain parity across the teams, a blind draft method is used. After the teams are formed, coaches will contact players to schedule practice.
